Description:
Born from the shadows and the fire of Japanese forges, the Tatsu no Chimei Katana commands attention with an almost mystical aura. Its deep black finish, reminiscent of the darkest night, contrasts strikingly with the golden dragons adorning its scabbard — creatures that symbolise strength, wisdom, and celestial power. The dragon-shaped tsuba appears to guard the blade itself, a true masterpiece crafted from Damascus steel with flowing reflections, forged according to the purest Japanese traditions. This sword embodies the balance between darkness and light, destined for proud and fearless spirits.

Frequently asked questions
The package contains your katana(s), carefully wrapped and protected. If you selected the option, a certificate of authenticity (+$10) will also be included. On top of that, we include a complimentary Japanese fabric carrying bag (a $25 value) with every katana order. You can also add accessories like a stand, a cleaning kit, or a premium storage box to make the most of your collection.
Every katana is crafted only after you place your order. We never produce in advance and we don't keep finished katanas in stock. Once your order is confirmed, our artisans begin forging your sword specifically for you. Each piece is hand-forged in the purest Japanese tradition, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and rigorous quality control.
By not keeping katanas in storage, we preserve the purity of the materials, prevent any oxidation from prolonged storage, and deliver a freshly forged, authentic, and one-of-a-kind katana straight to you. After forging, our swords ship from Asia to offer the best balance between delivery times and cost.
Every katana in our store is hand-crafted with meticulous attention to detail. Once your order is confirmed, processing typically takes 3 to 10 days before shipping.
Once shipped, delivery generally takes between 5 and 15 days. In rare cases, these timeframes may be extended. We do our best to guarantee fast and reliable delivery, but we can't promise an exact delivery date.
Given the unique nature of our katanas, we choose shipping methods designed to guarantee fast and secure delivery while minimising the risk of customs delays. We typically ship via UPS, known for its reliability. If that option isn't available, we use our secondary partner SF Express to deliver your order under the best possible conditions.
Our team takes great care during the shipping process to minimise any risk of customs fees. In the vast majority of cases, our customers don't pay any additional charges.
That said, in very rare instances, customs authorities may apply import duties. These fees are the buyer's responsibility, as outlined in our Disclaimer. Rest assured, we do everything we can to ensure a fast, smooth, and hassle-free delivery.
No, buying a katana is not illegal in Australia, but rules vary significantly from one state or territory to another. Their classification depends on the state, and our store restricts purchases to adults 18 and older. An adult signature may be required upon delivery.
In NSW, Queensland, Western Australia, Tasmania, the Northern Territory and the ACT, ordinary katanas generally do not require a weapons permit, although lawful-purpose and other local requirements still apply. In Victoria and South Australia (since 1 July 2025), the rules are stricter: Victoria requires an approval or a valid exemption, while South Australia requires an applicable exemption for purchase, possession and transport.
That said, we can share our own experience: we have already shipped many katanas to customers in these stricter states, and to this day, none of them have reported any issue receiving or keeping their katana. Of course, it remains essential to store your katana responsibly at home, avoid carrying or displaying it in public without a lawful reason, and never use it inappropriately. Each customer remains responsible for complying with their local state regulations.

An exceptional katana, worthy of a Japanese craftsman
As a long-time collector and Iaido practitioner, I am extremely demanding when it comes to katana quality. This one far exceeds my expectations. I’ve tested several katanas in my life, but this one stands out for its authenticity and attention to detail. I recommend it without hesitation!

A faithful and quite heavy replica
I wanted a faithful replica and I am not disappointed. The blade is remarkably close to the original, and above all... it has real weight, which proves it’s not just a simple plastic toy!

A gift for my children
I bought two Rengoku katanas for my children because they really love Demon Slayer. I was quite annoyed because the delivery took longer than expected (17 days). However, they arrived in perfect condition, and my children really loved their gift!

Great quality
The swords are very sharp and absolutely gorgeous! In the long run, these blades remain really sturdy as long as you take good care of them, and I recommend them to everyone. I’ll definitely buy from this store again

A Christmas gift that was a hit :)
I gave this katana to my brother for Christmas and he loved it! Before ordering, I had some questions about quality and maintenance, and the customer service was super responsive and clear in their answers. I also added the engraving option with his name, and the result is incredible!

Order mistake, but good customer service
Upon receiving it, I was very disappointed: it was not the katana I had ordered... Fortunately, the customer service was super responsive and quickly sent me the correct model, letting me keep the other one. It was a nice goodwill gesture, but the error was still annoying. I’m giving 3 stars for this mixed experience.

An amazing purchase!
As a fan of Elden Ring, I absolutely wanted to have a replica of the Moonveil katana, and wow... it’s HUGE! The finish is incredible; you can immediately tell it’s a real blade and not just a decorative item. The packaging was super careful, with no scratches or flaws on arrival. I was a bit worried about customs fees, but in the end, I didn’t have to pay anything.

Minor issue with delivery
I had to pick it up from a UPS depot near my place. It’s not a huge deal, but a bit inconvenient. Otherwise, no complaints — the sword is gorgeous.

A beautiful item for enthusiasts
The blade is well protected and oiled upon arrival. However, it’s definitely an item to keep out of children’s reach, because even though it’s for display, it’s still a real sword.

Choosing your katana blade
Compare steel types to help choose your sword: intended use, composition, edge performance, and craftsmanship.
Important : our katanas use traditional Japanese-inspired construction and full tangs, with sharpening options depending on the model. Steel, heat treatment, and blade geometry all influence strength and cutting performance.
Tip: use the categories to show the blades that interest you.
Manganese steel
Manganese steel
Manganese steel is used in accessible swords with a strong visual identity. These models can suit a collection or display. Suitability for training depends on the individual blade and its heat treatment, so check the stated intended use. Carbon and alloy steels still require appropriate cleaning and protection against corrosion.
At a glance: an accessible choice for display and an introduction to Japanese-style swords; check the individual model before using it for practice.
1060 steel
1060 steel
1060 carbon steel is a practical option for many modern Japanese-style swords. With suitable heat treatment and geometry, it can balance edge performance with resilience. For practice, choose a model designed for that purpose and follow qualified instruction.
At a glance: a durable option for introductory cutting practice and regular supervised training.
T10 steel
T10 steel
T10 is a high-carbon tool steel often chosen for edge retention. Differential hardening can produce a visible hamon while leaving different parts of the blade with different hardness. The finished blade’s quality depends on its forging, heat treatment, geometry, and polishing.
At a glance: a popular choice combining cutting performance, edge retention, and the visual appeal of a hamon.
Damascus steel
Damascus steel
Damascus steel is valued for the patterns revealed by working layers of steel. Each blade has a distinctive appearance. Pattern alone does not determine performance: the materials, heat treatment, and construction remain essential. It is a popular choice for a visually striking collection.
At a glance: a distinctive blade chosen primarily for its appearance and collection value.
San-Mai steel (3 layers)
San-Mai steel (3 layers)
San-Mai construction places a harder core between softer outer layers. This approach can combine a cutting edge with a resilient supporting structure. Its effectiveness depends on the quality of the material selection, welding, heat treatment, and final blade geometry.
At a glance: a construction that combines cutting performance, resilience, and traditional aesthetics.
Tamahagane steel
Tamahagane steel
Tamahagane is associated with traditional Japanese swordmaking. The smith selects and works the material through demanding forging and refining stages. Collectors value the resulting surface character, workmanship, and relationship to a long craft tradition.
At a glance: an expression of traditional swordmaking, valued for its craftsmanship and beauty.
