Description

You’re not dreaming. This katana is a true masterpiece — entirely hand-forged according to the strictest and most sacred Japanese traditions. It is by no means an industrial imitation, but an authentic sword crafted with passion and respect, using Tamahagane steel — the legendary material used by master swordsmiths for centuries. This noble metal, obtained through an ancestral process from iron-rich Satetsu sand, gives the blade a perfect balance of hardness, flexibility, and elegance. Every millimetre of this blade has been shaped by hand with rare and demanding expertise, with such a low success rate that only a few pieces ever reach this level of perfection.

This katana is simply the most premium model available on our website. It embodies the very soul of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Its natural, wavy hamon is visible proof of perfectly mastered differential hardening — a hallmark of elite swords. The tsuka (handle), wrapped in genuine ray skin and hand-braided silk, offers a refined and secure grip. The tsuba (guard), understated and elegant, completes the visual balance of the whole. The black lacquered saya, paired with a golden sageo tied by hand, enhances the overall aesthetic of this extraordinary piece. This sword is far more than a weapon — it is a living work of art, a piece of history, a blade born from centuries of heritage.

This katana is made for discerning collectors, lovers of Japan, and all those who recognise an exceptional blade when they see one. It represents the highest standard achievable in traditional sword making. If you're looking for the very best — a handcrafted katana forged in strict accordance with Japanese tradition — then you've come to the right place.

Tamahagane Steel Japan

Blade made of Tamahagane steel

Tamahagane is a rare Japanese steel, derived from iron sand and smelted in a traditional furnace. Used for centuries, it offers exceptional purity and unique patterns on the blade. It is the iconic steel of authentic samurai katanas.

The package includes the katana(s), carefully packed. Additionally, a Japanese fabric bag worth $25 is offered with each katana order. You also have the option to add accessories such as a stand, a certificate of authenticity, a cleaning kit, or a premium storage box to enhance your collection.

This katana is forged from Tamahagane steel, a traditional Japanese steel known for its purity and the complexity of its production. Each piece is crafted using ancient artisanal techniques, requiring advanced expertise and significantly more time than standard katanas.

Due to this high standard of quality and the meticulous attention to every step, the preparation time is longer. Once your order is confirmed, we generally estimate a shipping time of 2 to 3 weeks.

However, we want to highlight that exceptional circumstances, such as logistical delays or peak periods, may extend these timeframes. While we do our best to ensure fast and efficient delivery, it is not possible for us to provide a precise delivery date.

Our katanas are handcrafted and forged in accordance with Japanese tradition. Once manufactured, they are shipped from China to provide a better balance between delivery speed and cost.

All of our Katana swords have a full tang construction. We meticulously handcraft these blades, ensuring that the blade extends seamlessly into the handle. This not only enhances their durability and resilience for training purposes but also pays homage to the traditional Japanese craftsmanship.

Due to the unique nature of our katanas, we prioritize specific shipping methods to ensure fast and secure delivery while reducing the risk of customs delays. Generally, we ship via UPS, known for its reliability and efficiency. If this shipping method is unavailable, we work with our secondary partner, China Post, in collaboration with Australia Post, to ensure your order is delivered under the best possible conditions.

We take every precaution during the shipping process to help prevent customs fees. In nearly all cases, our customers receive their orders without any extra charges. Our logistics team works hand in hand with trusted partners to ensure that every shipment is properly documented and packaged to avoid delays or additional costs.

While extremely rare, customs authorities in some countries may impose import duties depending on local regulations. If this happens, please be aware that such charges are the responsibility of the buyer, as outlined in our Disclaimer.

In Australia, katanas fall into the category of "controlled weapons". Contrary to popular belief, the sale of controlled weapons is not totally banned in Australia. However, the purchase of a katana is subject to age restrictions, limited to adults aged 18 or over.
